Overview
CETEC’s combined strength of FORAY Laboratory and consulting expertise results in an emissions testing service that provides more than just a certificate for your GBCA, GECA, AFRDI or other requirements.
Choosing the right building materials can have a positive effect on human health. Our testing helps inform architects and design professionals about the materials they specify.
CETEC in partnership with Foray Laboratories has tested over 90% of the building products available in Australia today.
Our emissions testing complies to the stringent standards required by the green-building rating schemes, including:
NATA accredited testing for:
• The collection of organic emissions from indoor materials and products according to ASTM D5116 – Small-scale environmental chamber determinations of organic emissions from indoor materials/products
• The analysis of these emissions – Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) and Formaldehyde using GCMS
CETEC has assessed a wide range of building materials for their chemical or Volatile Organic Compounds VOC emissions and VOC content. Products are often tested to ensure suitability for use in Green Star-rated projects (Green Star Interiors, Green Star Performance, Green Star Design & As Built) as well as to meet other volunteer product rating schemes.
In 2013, FORAY Laboratories obtained NATA Method accreditation for our emissions testing, which includes:
We can also provide:
Furthermore, our ability to conduct further investigations into the VOCs emitted from products allows a deeper level of understanding into indoor odour/health concerns in buildings.
